Heath Ledger already died years ago, but a man who trespassed Tony Kanal's home claimed otherwise.

Gwen Stefani's bandmate, Tony Kanal, recently filed for a temporary restraining order against a guy who trespassed his home and threatened his family. The man, whose name is George Leonardopoulos, reportedly terrorized and intruded on their home in the past few months.

The official legal documents, obtained by a news outlet, stated that Leonardopoulos started entering Kanal's property in January. He reportedly hopped the gate on one occasion.

The intruder reportedly told Kanal's wife via intercom that he used to live there with the previous owner of the house - who turned out to be the late actor Heath Ledger.

The No Doubt member confirmed that he bought the home from Ledger in 2005 before the actor's death.

Leonardopoulos also made a hair-raising claim, saying that Heath is still on the property and alive. He also insisted the family let him enter their garage so he could "wake" the actor.

Aside from those incidents, the man also once wielded a stick and knife, prompting them to call the cops. With the restraining order, Kanal's family now hopes that they would not see Leonardopoulos again.

A judge has since signed the TRO, urging Leonardopoulos to stay at least 100 years from the family and their home.

Heath Ledger's Death Still Lingers

The recent incident happened on the day of Ledger's supposed 43rd birthday. Although he already left the world years ago, the pain of losing him still lingers.

In January 2008, Ledger's housekeeper found the then-28-year-old unconscious in his bed. Instead of calling 911, she called actress Mary-Kate Olsen. The actress was in California when Ledger was staying in his New York City apartment, but she ordered a private security guard to respond to the scene.

The masseuse called Olsen again and told her she would call 911. When she got connected, she told the operator he was not breathing so she was advised to administer CPR. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead, with his cause of death was due to a toxic cocktail of prescription medications.

The New York City medical examiner's office released a statement to confirm his death, "Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine. We have concluded that the manner of death is an accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications."

Even after his passing, questions about his death still emerge as the actor reportedly suffered from several medical conditions.
