Queen Elizabeth II caused Buckingham Palace to create contingency plans ahead of the Trooping the Colour due to concerns surrounding her health.

Royal fans feel more worried that Queen Elizabeth's health would get worse anytime soon. To prevent or delay it, other members of the royal family started to step up to cover for her in several major engagements.

Aside from Prince Charles, Prince William, and Princess Anne's recent moves, Buckingham Palace also created two different options to continuously put the spotlight on the monarch despite her health fears.

Express UK noted that the Palace considers having the Queen travel by carriage during the Trooping the Colour's inspection of troops before leaving the event. She could possibly reappear on the balcony with the working royals.

The second option would allow Queen Elizabeth to only appear on the balcony and skip the parade for good.

Both plans, however, mean the queen would miss most of the event.

As of this time, Buckingham Palace is yet to decide on what the queen should do ahead of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Latest on Queen Elizabeth II's Status

Buckingham Palace revealed the contingency plans after a royal author and commentator shared different views about the Queen's health.

Royal author Phil Dampier took to Twitter and said that Princess Anne should be made a counsellor of state immediately, sparking concerns that the Queen might no longer perform her duties. Royals with the role are authorized to perform official duties of the Sovereign, which include attending Privy Council meetings, receiving the credentials of new ambassadors, and signing documents, to name a few.

Meanwhile, the royal correspondent for the Daily Express, Richard Palmer, said that some sources informed him about the monarch's current suffering amid Palace's silence on her health.

"The Palace was not saying anything because as far as it was concerned it was a private event, which I found a bit strange for them to say that. Because this was an event that was going live out on ITV at peak time, and indeed it appeared as an official engagement in the court circula the following day," he said.
