Pete Davidson is making his fans worry as the comedian purportedly committed a "career suicide" by leaving his longtime show, "Saturday Night Live."

After eight years, Davidson officially left the cast of "SNL" through a statement shared by his friend, Dave Sirus.

"Jerrod sent it to me last night and it made me super emotional in the best way. In the video, I had just gotten back from doing my very first update and sketch. It's crazy to think that today I'll be doing my last one," he said, per E! News.

While his departure was his free will, his fans could not help but get worried about the comedian's future since they think that Kim Kardashian and her family offered no best of luck.

They even assumed that the Kardashian curse started affecting Davidson.

"The Kardashian curse has begun. Are we starting to see the Kardashian curse hit Pete? Hate to see his career get screwed over by a bad date," one said, as quoted by OK! Magazine.

What Is Kardashian Curse?

The term Kardashian curse was created during a 2016 episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Kylie Jenner herself spoke about the dark effect men suffer from once they are tied to them.

"The Kardashian curse is every male figure that comes and dates a Kardashian," she said. "Their life kind of just goes downhill after that."

Some of these men include Tristan Thompson (who cheated on Khloe Kardashian multiple times), Scott Disick (who faced substance abuse issues in the past years), and Kris Humphries (Kim Kardashian's husband for 72days).

Lamar Odom, Tyga, French Montana, Travis Scott, and James Harden.

The Kylie Cosmetics owner explained the term further in an interview with GQ in 2018. At that time, Kanye West became the latest victim of the curse.

According to Kylie, those men are not used to the media attention the family has been receiving. But aside from the men in their lives, their friends and people who were once closed to them also experienced the same.

Despite that, Davidson took the risk and confirmed his exit through a goodbye message to the team. His final episode would air on May 21.

Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney also expressed their desire to quit the show.
