Just announced: Peacock will be adapting the popular 90s video game series Twisted Metal into a live-action series, with actor Will Arnett executive producing. However, when you have a voice with such gravelly gravitas such as Arnett's, of course, it's only a matter of time befor you end up lending it to your production - and Arnett is lending his to the most popular character: the clown-faced bully Sweet Tooth.

The plot of the game is similar to a no-holds-barred demolition derby, where drivers in suped-up, weaponized vehicles compete to destroy each other in a Death Race 2000-style fight. The show, however, will revolve around a man who is given the job of delivering a strange package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland in an attempt to have a better life.

Arnett's character Sweet Tooth is a massive guy who wears a scary clown mask - an agent of chaos who drives a doomsday ice cream truck. The actor will be playing the character in voice only, leaving speculation as to who will be playing the character bodily on the show.

Will Arnett isn't the only big name to be attached to the series; It has been announced that Anthony Mackie of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Stephanie Beatriz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Scream's Neve Campbell, and Thomas Haden Church will be rounding out the cast.

Twisted Metal is in the early stages of production, and has yet to reveal a release date for when it will begin streaming on Peacock. But we do know, at least, that between the cast on the out-there concept, it's going to be something interesting.
