Jack Black just accepted a special honor at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

The comedian received the Comedic Genius Award while dressed as his character in "Kung Fu Panda."

While many fans applauded his sense of humour and the energy he brought to the program, many social media users were taken aback by how the actor currently appears.

The official MTV Twitter account praised the "School of Rock" star after he received his prize.

"We are HONORED to present the Comedic Genius Award to @JackBlack at the 2022 #MTVAwards."

He praised Tanya Haden, his wife, and their two children, Samuel, 15, and Thomas, 14.

As Black delivered his address, many people commented on how his hair was untidy and his beard was long and gray, and social media quickly flooded with comments about how Jack Black looked so comfortable informal in his attire.

One Twitter user commented that Black seems "so ancient now I could cry."

Another said that the "Jumanji" actor "is not looking well," and a third expressed surprise that Black was still alive.

Jack Black is only the sixth individual to get the accolade in the MTV Movie & TV Awards' history.

Sacha Baron Cohen was awarded last year, Melissa McCarthy in 2016, Kevin Hart in 2015, and Will Ferrell in 2013.

What Has Been Happening to Jack Black?

Jack Black is part of a rock duo with Kyle Grass, and it was revealed in Dec. 2021 that they will bring their unique humor-rock to stages and more this summer.

Their seven-city tour will begin on June 16 in Telluride, Colorado, and will include stops in Utah, Oregon, Washington, and California before concluding on June 26 in San Diego.

"These very special shows are, in part, a late celebration of The D's flawless, platinum-certified self-titled debut, which came out in September 2001 and quickly established the duo as a force to be reckoned with, full of insane, guitar-shredding chops, vocal prowess, and hella hilarious, smart lyrics; world domination ensued soon after," according to a press release.

The project was published as a "Super Power Party Pack" version, which included a reissue of the band's initial 1995 demo tape and the 2002 EP "Tribute."
