Legendary actor, comedian and TV host Bob Saget reflected on the passing of his loved ones and how they helped him grow as a person before his sudden deadh last January 9.

Saget shared the realizations in his life months before he faced his own death, and his heartfelt message recently reemerged.

In May 2021, the late "Full House" actor sat for an interview on the "Til This Day with Radio Rahim" podcast, where he reflected on the mortality in his family. The interview will be released by Luminary this week.

Saget, in the first part of the interview, opened up about losing multiple loved ones in his lifetime. Although losing them truly broke him, the events purportedly helped him grow as a person, as well.

"I'm proud of myself because I'm onto a new thing. At 65, I'm different than I was. We're all rethinking what we said 20 years ago, 10 years ago, four years ago. I'm not even rethinking it, I just don't have the same way of doing humor or conversation," he said.

With losing people, undergoing therapy, and having three kids, everything about him changed for the better. Even his children noticed those changes and told him that it was nice to see him grow.

Bob Saget's Father Helped Him Embrace Life

Elsewhere in the interview, Saget recollected his father's reaction to the deaths in his family, including his uncles, aunts, sisters, and cousins.

According to the actor, the patriarch's reaction inspired him to embrace life even more.

"I was 9, and we had so many deaths growing up that my dad would just, instill [having fun] in me - he didn't teach it to me. I just saw, hey, he reacted. He buried four brothers and a sister in his life. He buried all his siblings. I helped him write the speech at 3:30 in the morning in Philly," he said.

He noted that the family members mostly died of "weird heart attacks" at the age of 37 to 40.

This resonated with what he wrote in his book, "Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian." He disclosed that three of his uncles died due to a heart attack.

He was 8 when his then 40-year-old uncle Ozzie died from a heart attack while chasing kids who stole a tire. The following year, his Uncle Manny succumbed due to a double heart attack.

When he was 15, his 37-year-old Uncle Sammy died of the same medical issue while playing tennis. His own father also reportedly suffered from a massive heart attack before facing the issue again six months later.

Months after the interview, Saget died after he fractured his skull after bumping his head on his hotel room's headboard.
