Kim Kardashian recently revealed something unexpected after shedding 16 pounds to fit into Marilyn Monroe's classic Met Gala gown.

The 41-year-old reality personality confessed she had shed more weight since revamping her diet in May to wear the legendary gown.

Kim dropped five pounds more, increasing her total weight loss to 21 pounds.

On the "Today Show," the SKKN businesswoman discussed her new lifestyle adjustments, as well as her boyfriend Pete Davidson and the status of her relationship with ex-husband Kanye West.

Kim said that she cut down carbohydrates and sweets for three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe's classic gown, which was highly condemned for its message.

When the response was brought up, the mother-of-four explained that she saw it "as a role" since she wanted to fit into the garment because it was essential to her.

The experience apparently taught her to make adjustments in her lifestyle and health, and she has continued to eat "very well" even after achieving the ideal weight.

"I'm not trying to lose weight, but I have more energy than ever. I cut out so much sugar. A lot of junk food I was eating. I didn't even realize it. A lot of fried foods. And I completely changed my lifestyle."

Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb also mentioned the "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" gown she wore to this year's Met Gala, which sparked outrage after it was reported she may have ruined the iconic fashion garment, which was custom-made for Marilyn in 1962.

When asked about the dress, Kim stated that the rumors about her damaging it were false.

"There were handlers...that put it on me."

Kim Kardashian allegedly changed into a replica after she entered the museum after wearing the dress for a few minutes on the red carpet.

Kim's interview comes only days after photographs of the "ruined dress" went viral.

Ripley paid $4.8 million for the gown in 2016 and granted the reality star permission to wear it to the special occasion. However, in a statement issued on June 16, they stated that Kim did not harm the clothing in any way.

Kim also claimed in the same interview that she was excited to wear the dress because many of her followers didn't know who Marilyn Monroe was, and it was something she wanted to do to commemorate the movie star's history.

"I respect her, I understand how much this dress means to American history."
