Unlike Meghan Markle, Prince William celebrated his 40th birthday with his wife, Kate Middleton, and the Queen on June 21, 2022.

The Duke of Cambridge had been granted the go-ahead for a reception at Windsor Castle or Sandringham.

It is said that he and the Duchess of Cambridge, who turned 40 earlier this year, planned to "celebrate their landmark birthdays in style."

If Queen Elizabeth II has the energy, she may join them and other senior royals for the party.

According to royal analysts, the party is in sharp contrast to how Meghan celebrated her birthday.

The Duchess of Sussex began her 40th birthday campaign last year, asking people to contribute 40 minutes of their time to assist women "re-enter the workplace" for her 40x40 project.

The former "Suits" actress endorsed the cause in a video shot entirely from her house in Montecito, California.

However, it was discovered just last month that the project was secretly terminated less than a year after it was introduced.

Angela Levin, a royal expert, believes Prince William's and even Kate Middleton's 40th birthdays were more "wholesome" than Meghan Markle's.

"Did Meghan believe she could have stars fix all of the women's concerns in 40 minutes? It's ludicrous," she told The Sun.

"William and Kate will be equals on their birthday," Angela said, "it won't be about any of them, and it'll be about both."

"It will be really family-oriented and wholesome rather than 'look at me,'" she remarked.

Phil Dampier also has something to say on the important comparison, noting that Prince William and Kate will invite friends and family as guests rather than celebrities.

"They'll invite folks who mean something to them rather than the greatest celebrity they can get."

"They'll bring the individuals they're closest to, the people they work with, people from the organisations they support," he added.

Prince William Grateful

After being greeted worldwide, Prince William personally thanked everyone for their birthday wishes as he turned 40 years old.

He signed off on Twitter, "Thank you for all the happy birthday messages today! W."

This comes after his royal relatives, including Queen Elizabeth II, posted a special tribute to her grandson on the official royal family social media pages.
