Hugo Speer was set to star in Disney+'s TV reboot of "The Full Monty," but he was immediately fired from the show because of shocking allegations. Today, the actor is speaking out about the issue.

In a statement released by the media giant to Deadline, they said they were aware of the allegations on the set of the show.

Since they abide by the company's policies, they started an investigation.

"Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his contract, with immediate effect," the statement continued. (via Entertainment Weekly)

As of this writing, Disney+ has not publicly revealed the exact information surrounding the allegations.

Speer broke his silence through a spokesperson, telling the outlet that he denies all the allegations and "is challenging all of them.

The actor is popularly known for playing the role of Guy in the 1997 comedy movie. He was supposed to reprise the role along with original co-stars Lesley Sharp and Robert Carlyle.

The original British film revolved around six unemployed workers who formed a "male striptease act" to earn more money.

Created by Simon Beaufoy, the series will continue their stories as they live in a post-industrial England and tackle deeper issues such as employment, education, and healtcare.

Other actors from the original movie like Mark Addy, Steve Huison, Wim Snape, Paul Barber, and Tom Wilkinson will also play their initial roles.

Beaufoy serves as writer and executive producer with Uberto Pasolini.

In an interview, he expressed his excitement over the show, saying, "We're chuffed to bits to get all the Monty Men back together again - now with a chaotic entourage of children, grandchildren, pets and assorted hangers-on - to see what life in Sheffield is like twenty-five years on."

As of this writing, details about the upcoming show, such as additional cast members and an official release date, have not been publicized yet.

Speer was not the first Disney actor who had issues with production as "Andi Mack" star Stoney Westmoreland was also fired from the media giant after his arrest in 2018.

The actor is popularly known for playing the role of Henry "Ham" Mack in the sitcom. He was arrested in Utah for allegedly arranging to have sex with a person he believed was a minor.

Following this, a Disney Channel spokesperson issued a statement, saying he was released from his recurring role and will not be returning to the show.
