Fans are still experiencing a major hangover after watching the finale of "Stranger Things" season 4, volume 2. Recently, the creators, The Duffer Brothers, are slowly teasing them about what will happen in the final season.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

Speaking to Josh Horowitz on his "Happy Sad Confused" podcast, Ross and Matt Duffer revealed that the last season will not have the same running time as the recent one.

Season 4's final episode was two hours and 22 minutes long.

"The only reason we don't expect it to be as long is because if you look at it, it's almost a two-hour ramp-up before our kids really get drawn into the supernatural mystery," Matt said. (via Entertainment Weekly)

The creators also revealed what's not going to happen in the upcoming season, saying fans wouldn't get to know them better as they have been introduced in the past.

Other things that they won't tackle are grappling through high school, Steve Harrington's love fiasco, and more.

"None of that obviously is going to be occurring in the first two episodes of [Season 5]," he added.

Matt gave a clue about season 5's first episode as he revealed that they're not going to "wrap things up at the end" of the previous season for the first time, meaning the show will pick up from where it left.

"It's going to be moving. I don't know that it's going to be going 100 miles an hour at the start of 5, but it's going to be moving pretty fast. Characters are already going to be in action," he added.

At the end of season 4, almost every main character was reunited, including Hopper, who was rescued from Russia, and the other kids.

The creators confirmed that the characters would only stay in Hawkins for the final season, which is entirely different from the previous season as there were scenes in California and Russia.

They wanted to look back at the things they did in the first season, like the original groupings and pairings, because there's "nice about coming full circle."

However, one character never made it to the end, Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn.

Despite his death in the season finale, the creators revealed his passing would have "huge repercussions" amongst the survivors.

As of this writing, the Duffer Brothers have not revealed an official release date for the series finale.
