A 31-year-old man was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in Brooklyn, according to authorities. The crime happened just outside of Law & Order set.

The unidentified victim was reserving parking spots for a Law & Order: Organized Crime production team on N. Henry Street near Norman Avenue in Greenpoint at 5:15 a.m. when the gunman approached, according to sources.

The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment had posted a notice on the block, stating that filming of the third-season episode would begin at 6 a.m. Monday evening at 10 p.m., all non-production-related vehicles were scheduled to be removed from the area.

The victim was seated in a car, with a traffic cone on the roof, when the assailant opened the door and shot him in the head and neck. The man was taken by EMS to a local hospital, where he died. His name was not made public.

It was not immediately apparent whether any other production personnel were present during the shooting.

The gunman escaped. No arrests have been made yet, so it means the shooter is still at large. The police are scanning the neighborhood for anything that will assist them in identifying the shooter.

The victim, a resident of Queens, had a criminal record, but it was not immediately apparent whether or not his history had any connection to the shooting.

Christopher Meloni reprises his role as Detective Elliot Stabler from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in Law & Order: Organized Crime. In this installment of the Law & Order franchise, Stabler and his colleagues investigate large-scale criminal enterprises.

This particular Law & Order: Organized Crime actor made headlines last week when he appeared naked in a Peloton advertisement. This comes after he stated in May that he enjoys exercising while naked.

TODAY host Jenna Bush Hager believes Hoda should receive credit for the National Nude Day-themed commercial.

"Imagine the Clorox that needs to wipe up that area. You know what I mean?" Jenna said after they watched a clip of the ad Monday on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna. She also surmised that that Hoda deserved some of the "royalties from Peloton."

Jenna was alluding to a May chat she and her fourth hour co-host had, in which they attempted to comprehend the Law & Order star's refusal to wear garments while exercising.

"I have a lot of questions," Jenna said at the time.

"I'm just imagining the squat, for example. I think weights could be dropped in places that could hurt. I'm thinking of doing the bench press, just totally. How does he clean it before his children use it?"
