Skyfall's Ben Whishaw recently reveled that he entered into a civil partnership with his boyfriend last year.

The 32-year-old British actor and his partner, 30-year-old Mark Bradshaw, went through with the partnership last August, several months before Whishaw appeared as Q in the latest James Bond flick, according to Gay Star News.

While Whishaw has never been particularly forthcoming with details about his private love life, the actor's rep confirmed the couple's partnership on Sunday.

"Ben has never hidden his sexuality, but like many actors he prefers not to discuss his family or life outside of his work," a spokesperson said, according to the Daily Mail. "Due to speculation, I can confirm that Ben and Mark entered into a civil partnership in August 2012. They were proud to do so and are very happy."

The pair met in 2009 on the set of Bright Star, for which Whishaw portrayed John Keats and Bradshaw composed the score, according to the New York Daily News. Having successfully run the gamut from stage to film to television, Whishaw explained his desire to keep his personal life out of the ever-growing spotlight of the media.

As an actor you have total rights to privacy and mystery, whatever your sexuality, whatever you do," Whishaw told Out in 2011. "I don't see why that has to be something you discuss openly because you do something in the public eye."

It appears Whishaw will try to continue living out of the limelight as the couple approaches their fist anniversary.
