Joy Behar is one of the most notable hosts of "The View," she recently shared her true feelings after getting fired in 2013, saying she was glad to be removed from the panel for a shocking reason.

According to E! Online, the TV personality has been a host of the Emmy Award-winning show since 1997, but she was axed in 2013.

Speaking in an interview with TIME Magazine, Behar said she was "glad to be fired" from the daytime talk show because she was "sick of the show at that point" for some reason.

However, she noted that she forgot the reason why she felt uneasy about staying in the program.

The outlet mentioned a 2019 book titled "Ladies Who Punch" by Ramin Setoodeh, where he detailed the alleged issue that happened behind the scenes.

Behar told the author that she had been planning to resign from the show because she was "bored."

At the time of her firing, "The Views" rating started to drop because viewers wanted to see her on television.

This led the talk show's executive producer Hilary Estey McLoughlin to bring Behar back to the host panel.

"I just knew that we needed to get back into the cultural conversation. I knew [Behar] was going to be the person who could actually do that. She's always been the person who says what the audience is thinking but is afraid to say," she previously said.

The TV personality returned to the program two years after getting fired, and she has remained on the panel ever since.

Elsewhere in her recent interview, Behar revealed her plans after being on television for 25 years.

The host said she's "sort of on extra time now" because she doesn't have to work and be on television anymore.

However, if producers wanted to give it to her, she'll take it.

Viewers will continue seeing Behar on their TV screens as she recently signed a three-year contract with "The View" this year.

In early reports, rumors began circulating online that she would be retiring from the show, but she immediately debunked the claims y saying she'll remain a host until 2025.

"The View" will air its 29th season in the fall. Current hosts include herself, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, and Fara Griffin.

Griffin will be Meghan McCain's permanent replacement after the conservative host left the show last year.
