Ben Affleck reprises his role as Batman in "Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom." This is confirmed by no less than Jason Momoa, who plays the main character in the said film.

Jason Momoa will reprise his role as Aquaman, the oceanic superhero, in the next sequel. However, it appears he could not resist announcing that he will not be the only returning Justice League member in the film.

He wrote the word "REUNITED" on Instagram, followed by "bruce and arthur. love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j."

The official Instagram account for DC Comics simply answered, "Legends."

This is a surprising development, since Affleck himself once said he's done with Batman and had hung up his cape for good.

Still, he was slated to star in the forthcoming "Flash" film, which had been scheduled to premiere in November 2022 but has now been pushed back to June 23, 2023.

However, this was supposed to be his final appearance as Batman.

Instead, it appears that he was convinced to return by somebody, somewhere. And following his experience on "Justice League," the dialogue could not have been simple. What did it take for him to say to this, despite his overall "nadir experience" with "Justice League?"

"I had a really nadir experience around Justice League for a lot of different reasons," said Affleck. "Not blaming anybody, there's a lot of things that happened. But really what it was is that I wasn't happy. I didn't like being there. I didn't think it was interesting. And then some really s---ty things, awful things happened. But, that's when I was like, I'm not going to do that anymore."

Unless he specifically reveal the reason himself, fans would just to deal with the mystery of it all. What's important is that he was convinced to don Batman's cape once more.

Given that he gave up starring in and directing his own version of The Batman, his appearance in Aquaman 2 comes as a great surprise.

It also remains to be seen how exactly Batman will fit in the plot of this second installment of the "Aquaman" franchise.

Jason Momoa portrays Aquaman alongside Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman in "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom." Based on a script by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Jason Momoa, James Wan directed the film.

Despite all talks of her being cut from the movie, Variety said Amber Heard will still be part of the film.
