Nichelle Nichols, a "Star Trek" icon, died on Sunday at the age of 89.

However, the great actress who played Lt. Uhuru was entangled until her unfortunate death in a heartbreaking battle over her $10 million wealth.

According to Radar Online, Nichelle had a handwritten statement before her death requesting that her son Kyle Johnson be removed from her will and trust.

"I, Nichelle Nichols, do hereby announce that I am altering my Last Will & Trust," the Silver City, New Mexico native said in her handwritten message.

"As you have told me several times, 'I can't wait to get rid of this s-t and sell my house and property. He made a decision to amend my Will & Trust."

Nichelle stated in a March 2017 letter to her son, who also appeared in the 1969 film "The Learning Tree," that he would receive a check twice a year from the "net profits" of a firm she owned, N.N. Legacy LLC.

Nichelle then ordered that her "memorabilia and property" be kept by the same firm after her death.

The publication of the alleged letter is anticipated to spark a judicial struggle for the money Nichelle Nichols left behind.

Her son, on the other hand, alleged that his mother was being used as a cash cow by a hanger-on preying on her dementia throughout the later years of her tormented life.

He also claimed that his mother had short-term memory loss, was confined to a wheelchair most of the time, and required round-the-clock and continual care.

Kyle stated that he went to court and requested that trustees be appointed to administer her mother's estate.

Nichelle's dementia was said to be "impacting her executive functions," making her "vulnerable to inappropriate influence."

Kyle said that "some individuals have unduly forced themselves into Ms. Nichols' life to her disadvantage," but he did not name anyone.

But, according to Nichelle's long-time manager, Kyle was attempting to place his mother in a nursing facility in order to obtain her money and even sell off her land.

Kyle allegedly stated that he had no money and would only have Nichelle Nichols' money in the future.

According to an informant, Kyle did not show up on Mother's Day and did not even call her on her birthday.

"He was not a kind or loving son."

This is why, according to reports, Nichelle pleaded Gilbert, "Whatever you do, please don't put me in a nursing home," and he maintained his promise.

Nichelle Nichols' cause of death is due to natural causes.
