Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are exhausting their royal privileges and may soon be forced to give up one crucial thing, according to a royal author.

Following repeated attacks on the British royal family, author Tom Bower claimed that they would now be forced to relinquish their royal titles. 

He predicted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's remarks about their blue-blooded relatives would be a "damp squib." 

He told Palace Confidential on Mail (via Express) that they are rapidly losing their royal status and will have to give it up "because it won't wash well." They can only do so by being sensational and acting." 

According to Bower, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are always looking for new things to do, but it always comes back to being connected to the royals. 

The author also discussed how his trip to the United Kingdom to attend the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in order to be photographed with Queen Elizabeth "went wrong." 

However, with the release of Prince Harry's upcoming memoir, it will undoubtedly be "dumping on the royal family," and the Sussexes' bravery in continuing to use their titles despite backstabbing and embarrassing the royal family.

'Burn Out' on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Americans are tired of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle constantly playing the "royal card" and that they are "burning out" their celebrity status in the US.

He told the outlet that the couple is still relevant even though interest in them has waned, and that they will need to find another brand - not their royal brand and titles - if they want to maintain celebrity status in the US. 

Bower stated that when the former "Suits" actress called two US senators to advocate for maternity leave, she introduced herself as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. 

"She always plays the royal card," he added. 

Bower went on to say that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should "realign their image" and that they would eventually have to give up their royal status because "it won't wash." 

"Will they be able to sustain their celebrity brand?" The author inquired. 

He also suggested that Prince Harry's wife may try to abandon her royal status in order to enter American politics and remain relevant. 

"I believe she would enjoy a political role; I believe she will first see her children enter school; she will lay the groundwork for it."
