Anne Heche struggled financially before her fatal car crash.

According to Radar Online, Ellen DeGeneres' former partner was taken back to court after failing to make payments on a repayment plan.

Citibank sued Heche in March 2021, alleging that they borrowed her money and she failed to reimburse them.

When the action was filed, the corporation claimed they were due $62,011.35.

According to the bank, Heche lived in the Los Angeles property she bought with her ex-husband, Thomas Jane. They began dating in 2019 and promptly purchased a $1.9 million property in the Silver Lake area.

Citibank told the court in August 2021 that they had reached an agreement with the actress.

However, no further action was taken in the matter until January 2022.

Citibank said Heche breached their contract by failing to make the required payments.

The bank claims that their last payment was made in October 2021, and their lawyer claims that "[Heche] has defaulted on the payment plan under the conditional settlement agreement."

The "Six Days, Seven Nights" actress reportedly promised to repay her $62,000 debt in installments as part of the purported agreement.

Anne Heche consented to pay no less than $5,170 per month beginning in June 2021, with the last payment due in May 2022.

According to the terms of the arrangement, if Heche failed to make her installments, Citibank might seek the whole outstanding debt in full.

According to the complaint, the actress made payments totaling $25,000 but still owing $36,161.35, plus $977 in court expenses, for a total of $37,138.35.

Heche did not object to the move in court at the time.
