Good news for "And Just Like That" fans! One significant character is set to return to the show after more than a decade as the actor will reportedly join Sarah Jessica Parker as part of the show's second season; could this be Carrie Bradshaw's new love interest?

According to Deadline, John Corbett, who also starred on "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," will have a prominent role in the second season and will also appear in several episodes.

The 61-year-old star originally appeared in "Sex And The City's" third and fourth season. He became Bradshaw's boyfriend in the series, then their relationship escalated, making them both engaged.

As of this writing, the show has not announced an official release date for the second season of "And Just Like That."

John Corbett Previously Hinted 'And Just Like That' Return

Last year, many fans were excited as Corbett previously teased about his return when the first season was filming. However, he didn't make it to the show and the production did not confirm his return.

Speaking to "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen," SJP said that it was fun for her former co-star to say what he had to say.

"When he actually reached out, very kindly, because he's nothing if not a gentleman, and apologized for doing that as a joke, and then I was like, 'No, no, no, it's a free country first of all,'" she said.

In an interview with Glamour Magazine, Corbett said he would like to play the role of Aiden again if he was given a chance as he loved playing the character back then.

Predicting what would Aidan do after more than a decade, the actor said he feels like he would do the same thing.

He then clarified to the publication that he was not offered to star in the first season of the show.

Chris Noth Fired From 'And Just Like That?'

Fans were shocked as Chris Noth's character in the show, John Preston AKA Mr. Big, was killed off the story in the first episode. His role died while using a peloton at home.

Despite his character being written off the show at the beginning, he was supposed to appear on the show's final episode when Carrie Bradshaw scattered his ashes in Paris, France.

However, TV Line reported that his appearance didn't push through after his shocking scandal made rounds online.
