People magazine verified the story, however neither has officially spoken or confirmed it.

However, a source revealed to E News the cause behind Leonardo and Camila's split, which was originally assumed to persist for a very long time due to their clandestine relationship.

It has been disclosed, as with any other reason, that things did not work out for them since they had been traveling a lot, which caused the pair to reconsider their relationship.

Fans have witnessed the pair squeeze in quality time by going on fancy holidays together in the past. Nonetheless, the insider stated that their romance has simply run its course and that "distance played a part" because they had been on different journeys.

However, when asked if Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone could rekindle their romance, the source said it was unlikely.

The "Shutter Island" actor and the model initially ignited suspicions in December 2017 when they were photographed together in Los Angeles. They were spotted getting intimate during Coachella in April 2018.

Camila responded to the criticism she received due of their 22-year age difference when they attended the Cannes Film Festival together.

During that period, she remarked, "My God, people are so cruel and full of rage with someone they know nothing about."
