"Stranger Things" star Jamie Campbell Bower reveals one of his rececntly lost dreams in a role he has been gunning for before he had turned 30 years old.

James Metcalfe Campbell Bower is a singer-actor known for his roles in Twilight as one of the Volturi and the Harry Potter spinoff films, "Fantastic Beasts" as a young Gellert Grindelwald. Recently he gained even more fame for his role as villain mastermind Vecna in the fourth season of "Stranger Things". 

In a recent interview on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast, host Josh Horowitz talked with catches up with the veteran actor, and took note of his involvement with "pop-culture phenomenons" like "Harry Potter", "Twilight", and "Stranger Things". 

When asked about his aspirations, the 33 year old actor expressed his goal of playing as a villain in the infamous "James Bond" film franchise, and opened up about a personal milestone.

"But I'm gonna be honest with you Josh, I'm gunning for James Bond. Not to play Bond, but to be a villain in Bond." Bower expressed, and added: "And I remember before Rami did the film, I was like 'I'm gonna be the first person under 30 to do it' and then Rami comes along and just like kills it and I'm like, 'Dammit, I wanted to do that.'"

Bower joked that the veteran actor stole his younger self's personal milestone, referencing Rami Malek's role in the 2021 "James Bond" film "No Time to Die".

Aside from his acting career, Jamie Campbell is also the frontman and singer for the band Counterfeit. The band released its first album in 2017, and even went on tour in the US. However, Bower's music touring days came to an end in November 2020, when "Counterfeit" announced its split on their Instagram page.

Is "James Bond" A Lost Cause?

Following the infamous Daniel Craig's recent exit due to the death of his character, the future direction of the franchise is currently unclear.

Earlier this year, producer Barbara Broccoli called for a search on the next James Bond. Co-producers Broccoli and Michael Wilson held a James Bond reality competition show, titled "007: Road to a Million". The reality show is set to air on Amazon Prime.
