Justin Bieber's recent antics prompted an actor to give the 19-year-old pop singer so advice on how to clean up his act and behave more appropriately in order to not risk his career.

In a recent interview with Britain's The Sun, actor Mark Wahlberg reportedly warned the Beauty and a Beat singer about making headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent months. In July and August alone, Bieber was accused of spitting on fans from a hotel balcony, involved in a drug bust when U.S. border authorities found marijuana on Justin Bieber's tour bus and is currently under police investigation for allegedly telling his bodyguards to beat up a clubgoer in The Hamptons.

Wahlberg, 42, is hoping the 19-year-old will follow his example and made a better life for himself. The 2 Guns star served 45 days in prison after pleading guilty to an assault charge at the age of 16 and said the conviction made him change his life around. He advised Bieber to change his ways and stay away from drugs.

"Justin, are you listening? Don't be so naughty ... Be a nice boy, pull your trousers up, make your mom proud and stop smoking weed you little b**tard," Wahlberg reportedly told the publication. "He's a teenager living in a different day and age. I was in prison before I got a record out and I don't think he's been to prison."

"He's a nice enough kid and you're going to be a teenager. But if you're being a teen in the spotlight you're going to be criticized for it," the Ted star added. "This career can be short-lived - you might as well be the best you can while you're doing it."

'2 Guns' Box Office Numbers for Wahlberg and Denzel Washington Film

Wahlberg and Bieber were expected to collaborate on a film together, E! Online reported in April. The actor said he wanted to cast Bieber in a basketball movie, explaining that he has "a great script" and needs to see "if schedules will allow it." No word from Wahlberg or Bieber if the film is still in the works. Wahlberg said Bieber is "focused and he wants to have success in the movie world and acting as well," before adding, "I think he'd do a great job."
