During his first public address to the United Kingdom and Commonwealth as King Charles III, the new monarch expressly made mention of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after years of conflict between the couple and the Crown.

Some said this could be an olive branch, his way of nipping rumors about a feud between the royals and the couple in the bud as early as now before he starts going about his King's duties. Some however said it must be a clear warning for the couple not to entertain ideas of returning to the UK after Queen Elizabeth has died.

"I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas," Charles, 73, said of his younger son, 37, and daughter-in-law, 40, in a pre-recorded video message that aired on TV Friday. The olive branch arrives one day after Queen Elizabeth II's death, which brought together important members of the royal family, including Charles, Harry, Prince William, and the new Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles.

However, it can be remembered that just last month, Markle has revealed a lot about Prince Charles and Prince Harry's real relationship.  Markle said in an August interview with New York magazine The Cut that Harry and his father are on the verge of becoming estranged.

"Harry said to me, 'I lost my dad in this process,'" the Duchess of Sussex said, alluding to Megxit, the couple's decision to migrate to the United States and relinquish their royal titles and responsibilities.

In fact, during the couple's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Harry revealed that Charles had "stopped taking my calls" about resigning his position as a working member of the royal family. After the death of Britain's longest-reigning monarch, the next king appears to have changed his mind.

While many families come together in a time of healing following the death of a loved one, the hostility between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and The Royal Family is simply insurmountable, according to TMZ.

Throughout the years, Queen Elizabeth served as a type of bridge between The Sussexes and Prince William and King Charles. That bridge no longer exists. Kinsey Schofield, a royal pundit, tells us there's a potential things could worsen between the rivals in the coming months, namely due to Harry and Meghan's upcoming undertakings.

Harry's forthcoming biography, scheduled for release in November, is rumored to contain unflattering information about the strained relationship, including details that could be detrimental to Queen Consort Camilla.

Many believe that Camilla or King Charles made racist comments concerning the skin tone of Harry and Meghan's son, Archie, which have never been clarified privately or publicly. Schofield also believes that Meghan's new podcast, which is scheduled to release 12 pre-recorded episodes each week, would include jabs at the Royals, causing further discord.

Given that the memoir has already been written and podcasts have been produced, Schofield asserts that there is no turning back. As previously reported, Harry was seen arriving alone in Scotland on Thursday, the same day that the news of The Queen's passing became known. Previously, Harry and Meghan were in London for the WellChild Awards, but Meghan did not accompany him on his trip to meet with the family after the loss.
