Rosie O'Donnell reveals her true feelings for Ellen Degeneres and why the comedian never made an appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show".

O'Donnell is an actress-comedian who made her acting breakthrough in 1984 on the television show, "Star Search". She rose to prominence in 1996 when she started hosting her own daytime talk show, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show", which won several Daytime Emmy Awards.

In a recent episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen", O'Donnel opens up on her real feelings about the 64-year-old comedian when Andy Cohen asked why she never guested during "The Ellen Degeneres Show"'s 20-year run.

According to O'Donnell, she had felt "hurt" all this time from a comment that Ellen said about her years ago, stating that Ellen did not know her.

"After my show went off the air, and her's was coming on the air, Larry King was on with Ellen and he said, 'Whatever happened to Rosie O'Donnell? Her show went down the tubes. She came out as a lesbian and disappeared.'" O'Donnell explained. "And Ellen said, and I'm quoting, 'I don't know Rosie. We're not friends.'"

Rosie O'Donnel's Reaction

"The Rosie O'Donnell Show" Host expressed that she could not believe what she had heard, as she recalls Ellen being a guest on her show in 1996. Notably, O'Donnell remembers how Ellen had teased her sexuality during her appearance, before actually coming out as a lesbian when she had her talk show.

The 60-year-old comedian further detailed her shocked reaction to Ellen's statement when she first heard it years ago.

"I was in bed with Kelli and I went, 'Did I just hear that or was that, like, a hallucination auditory voice?' I'm like, no, and that's what happened, and it hurt my feelings like a baby and I never really got over it," O'Donnell shared.

Ellen Invited Rosie On Her Show

Despite Ellen claiming that she does not know Rosie, she, later on, invited the former "The View" host to guest on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" to promote her Showtime comedy series, "SMILF".

However, O'Donnell reveals that she had requested to bring a guest in an attempt to make the interaction "a little less awkward". to which the show producers had rejected the request. Thus, Rosie passed on the offer and never got to appear on the talk show.

Despite stating that she "never really got over it", Rosie concluded her account of her long-time "weird" feelings toward the show host and wishes Ellen all good things in her life.
