Politician Donald Trump weighs in on Kanye West's controversial online rant spree.

Rapper Kanye West has recently been the subject of numerous controversial headlines as of late following the debut of his Yeezy Season 9 collection, which featured a "White Lives Matter" shirt in bold text. The statement sparked outrage among critics and fans who have turned against him, resulting in the "Praise God" singer starting an online feud and getting restricted on Instagram.

The rapper got temporarily restricted on Twitter shortly after striking the wrong cord for extreme views that implied hateful and anti-Semitic speech.

Donald Trump Weighs in on Kanye West

As per Rolling Stone, multiple sources say that Former US President Donald Trump has called Kanye West "crazy" and implied that he may need professional "help" following his controversial statements as of late.

"But even as he lashes out wildly on social media, Trump has thus far kept a calculated distance from the Trump-backing hip-hop artist in the aftermath of the 'JEWISH PEOPLE' tweet and also West's display of 'White Lives Matter' attire. It is unclear if there has been any private communication in recent days between West and Trump." According to Rolling Stone.

During an episode of Drink Champs featuring West, the rapper elaborated on his controversial anti-semitic views, ranting about "the Jewish people" and exempting himself from racism as he claims he is also a Jew due to "the blood of Christ." He went on to justify his anti-semitic statements by speculating that Jewish people control all facets of media and entertainment as they "owned the Black voice", which references a trope by neo-Nazis.

Donald Trump and Kanye West History

The former president and "Yeezy" founder's friendship dates back to 2020, when West expressed his support of Trump's presidential campaign. The two have also exchanged friendly tweets with each other.

"One of the main reasons I wore the red hat as a protest to the segregation of votes in the Black community. Also, other than the fact that I like Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby," Kanye West expressed back in July 2020.

However, West later on announced that he would retract his support for Donald Trump after the latter had reportedly turned a blind eye to the "Black Lives Matter" campaign.
