Actress Valerie Bertinelli reacts to Matthew Perry's recollection of their "secret moment" in his memoir.

Valerie's acting career dates back as a child actress portraying Barbara Cooper on the television sitcom "One Day at a Time". She, later on, rose to prominence during her lead role on the sitcom, "Sydney", alongside Matthew Perry and Craig Bierko.

However, an excerpt from Matthew Perry's upcoming memoir reveals that he and Valerie shared a moment that suggested perhaps the two were more than just co-stars.

Valerie Bertinelli Misbehaved With Matthew Perry?

In an excerpt published by Page Six from Perry's memoir, "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing", the "Sydney" actor revealed that he had been "madly in love" with Valerie Bertinelli, who had been married to musician Eddie Van Halen at the time.

One night, after drinking with the couple in their own home, Matthew Perry alleges that he had a long make-out session with Valerie while her husband was passed out from drinking.

"As the night progressed, it was clear that Eddie had enjoyed the fruits of the vine a little too hard, one more time, and eventually he just passed out, not ten feet away from us, but still," Matthew Perry wrote. "This was my chance! If you think I didn't actually have a chance in hell you'd be wrong, dear reader - Valerie and I had a long, elaborate makeout session."

Despite Valerie's embarassed demeanor in the video, surprisingly, fans cheer her on for her naughty act in the comments section. One user wrote, "dude. you married Eddie van Halen. do you think we expected good behavior? lol. love ya, lady!".

Meanwhile, another user took note of how the actress was able to get away with the act as social media and cancel culture wasn't a thing back in those times, commenting: "Not mortified, just glad nobody had cameras.

Former couple Bertinelli and Van Halen divorced in 2007, and share musician son Wolfgang Van Halen. The musician later on died in 2020 from cancer.
