Hozier has officially released his third studio album Unreal Unearth, and we could not be more elated that it is here.

The Take Me to Church singer has been working busily on a new album. This long awaited album was finally released today. It is titled Unreal Unearth. From the moment a listener hits "play," they are washed over with the melodic mastery which Hozier has become so readily known for.

Unreal Unearth tells the story at the intersection of modern realities and classic literature. The artist wrote the album during the Covid-19 pandemic, using the music to explore the intricacies in that unique chapter of the human experience. The album also finds direction and craft within the pages of Dante's Inferno. Hozier read the well-known work during the pandemic. He went on to use the album to conceptualize the nine circles of Hell foretold in the work.

While the album may be based on the circles of Hell, we can confirm that listening to the album is anything but! Fans from across the Twittersphere are coming out in droves to celebrate the sensational new work. It seems to be the general consensus that delving into Unreal Unearth feels like diving deep into a work of art.

The album is made up of 16 songs. Tracks include De Selby (Part 1), De Selby (Part 2), First Time, Francesca, I, Carrion (Icarian), Eat Your Young, Damage Gets Done (feat. Brandi Carlile), Who We Are, Son of Nyx, All Things End, To Someone From a Warm Climate (Uiscefhuaraithe), Butchered Tongue, Anything But, Abstract (Psychopomp), Unknown/Nth and First Light.

We cannot wait to spend our day journeying through this album over and over again.
