Prince William's performance with Taylor Swift and Jon Bon Jovi has resurfaced, delighting fans on social media.

The rare musical collaboration took place at a charity dinner at Kensington Palace in 2013, dedicated to the homelessness charity Centrepoint, of which Prince William has been a patron since 2005.

The Prince of Wales joined Swift and Bon Jovi, both of whom performed during the gala, on stage at the end of the night for a rendition of the latter's hit song "Livin' on a Prayer'" in an extremely rare public musical performance for the royal.

A fan of Swift recently shared a clip from the unexpected and heartwarming moment on Instagram.

"This is actually Harry, Ron and Hermione," the fan joked, referring to the main characters of the "Harry Potter" series.

The clip garnered over 270,000 likes and thousands of comments, with Swifties and Instagram users expressing surprise and admiration for the collaboration.

"When did this happen, and why did I just [find] out[?]" one user commented.

A fan joked, "Does William know he's singing with royalty?"

"So cool that they let [Prince] William sing with the queen," a third person quipped.

Some commented on the royal's singing skills, with one writing: "Why do I feel like William can maybe sing?"

Many also noted the "cute" interactions between Prince William and Swift and how much fun the singer appeared to be having during the performance.

"Love how she's just singing for fun and not trying to sound good for the audience. It's such a precious wholesome moment," one Instagram user wrote.

"Taylor just [high-fived] the future king of England, and it's so cute," another commented.

"I love this. How Prince William took her hand and led her up on stage," a third person wrote.

Prince William previously reflected on the impromptu performance in a 2021 interview.

During his appearance on Apple Fitness+'s "Time to Walk" series, he recounted the memorable night, describing how Swift convinced him to join her and Bon Jovi on stage.

He humorously admitted, "I got up like a puppy," when persuaded by the singer.

"To this day, I still do not know what came over me. Honestly, even now I'm cringing at what happened next, and I don't understand why I gave in. But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your arm, and says, 'Come with me...' I got up like a puppy and went, 'Yeah, okay, that seems like a great idea. I'll follow you,'" Prince William recalled.

"I walked up on stage in a trance, and then sort of halfway through Jon Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On a Prayer' song, I wake up," he added. "And I'm thinking to myself, 'Am I standing on the stage singing 'Livin' On a Prayer' when I don't even know the words?'"

Despite his initial hesitation, Prince William's participation was met with cheers from the Centrepoint young individuals at the event.

Looking back on the unique experience, he acknowledged the value of stepping out of one's comfort zone and embracing moments of lightheartedness.

The resurfaced video not only showcases a rare side of the future king but also serves as a reminder of the prince's long-standing commitment to charitable causes.

In June, Prince William announced the "Homewards" program, an initiative aimed at preventing homelessness and providing support to those without safe places to call home.
