Drake has debuted a new addition to his collection of tattoos, prominently displayed just above his right eyebrow.

The rapper showed off the ink, featuring Arabic script, Friday at a party hosted by "Etalk's" Tyrone Edwards, Now Toronto reported.

Photographer Brent Kore shared an image of Drake's new tattoo on Instagram, unveiling the phrase "miskeen" in an arch over the hip-hop superstar's eye. The post was first spotted by HipHopDX

The term "miskeen" holds cultural significance in Drake's hometown of Toronto, particularly within its large Somali community.

Derived from the Arabic word "miskin," it is commonly translated as "misfortunate" or "poor," Billboard reported.

According to the University of Toronto magazine, the term can also be defined as "a pathetic person or situation."

Interestingly, in Toronto slang, "miskeen" is also used to describe someone who is "sweet and innocent," as reported by Now Toronto.

Drake, known for incorporating cultural and Canadian references into his music, has yet to provide an explanation for the tattoo's significance.

Some fans, however, found the choice ironic, given Drake's lavish lifestyle.

On X, formerly Twitter, comments ranged from skepticism to humor, with one person questioning, "If Drake is miskeen what's the word for the rest of us?"

"The way Drake is anything but Miskeen," another wrote.

This latest ink joins a previous facial tattoo, obtained last summer, honoring his mother with the initials SG (Sandra Gale) under his left eye.

Drake's penchant for cultural references is evident in his lyrics, such as in the song "Draft Day," where he sings, "Know some Somalis who say we got it, wallahi," using the Arabic term "wallahi," meaning "swear to God."

Amid the tattoo discussion, Drake's recent achievements at the Billboard Music Awards have also grabbed attention.

While his record of 12 trophies in one night (2019) still stands, Taylor Swift tied with Drake for 39 wins each after earning 10 awards Sunday.

Drake secured victories in categories like top rap artist, top rap tour, top rap album ("Her Loss"), and top rap song ("Rich Flex") for his collaboration with 21 Savage.

As for his music, Drake surprised fans with the release of the "Scary Hours 3" EP Friday, featuring six freshly-recorded tracks appended to the new edition of his recent album, "For All the Dogs."
