Jamie Foxx is the newest celebrity to get sued for sexual assault after Diddy, and the news about his case received mixed reactions on social media.

The Oscar winner is facing legal charges for allegedly touching an unnamed woman inappropriately after she approached him for some photos at Catch NYC & Roof in August 2015. In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the woman claimed the American actor and comedian pulled her by the arm to the back area of the rooftop, placed both of his hands on her waist and moved them under her top to rub her breasts. According to her, several, including some security guards, witnessed the incident.

Many users on X, formerly Twitter, quickly reacted after learning the news, and they shared mixed opinions about the incident. Some were shocked, others were not, and a few were confused. However, his fans were hoping that it wasn't true.

"He should be jailed, it's not the first time," one commented. Another added, "BAD LUCK ALMOST DIE AND NOW HE'S GEETING SUE[D]."

"When your misdemeanor catches up with you," a third user opined.

"Was Jamie a bad boy, or some bad girl is trying to cash out?" one asked. A different user added, "Why do we automatically believe women? Honestly [sic] question."

"No no no no not Jamie???" a fan of Foxx wrote. Another stated, "I don't believe any of this."

"I stand with Jamie Foxx," a different supporter commented.

Meanwhile, others felt that women complaining against famous figures over incidents that occurred ages ago might have become a trend.

"At this time, it is just a trend," one opined with multiple expressionless face emojis.

"I understand there's hard times going on for some people. Just stop with the 'let me see who I can accuse from my past to get some money' angle, it's played out. If there's no proof, or it's proven she's lying, charges should be put on her," a different user commented. Another wrote, "Look at all the women rushing to blame all the Men. Not good. He is innocent until proven guilty in my eyes."

Last week, Diddy also made headlines after his ex Cassie sued him for alleged rape and abuse. She claimed that the American rapper forced her into sexual acts with male prostitutes and filmed it. She also accused the "I'll Be Missing You" singer of frequently beating her and supplying her with drugs when they were together.

Diddy and Cassie had an on-again, off-again relationship for 11 years. They split for good in 2018.
