Sixty-five-year-old American billionaire businessman Mark Cuban announced on a podcast interview that he will no longer be joining the next season of the American business reality television series "Shark Tank."

"This is our 15th year, and next year, our 16th year is going to be my last year. So I got one more year to go," Cuban told the "All the Smoke" podcast hosts and ex-NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.

He told them that after being a regular on the show for 15 years, it was time for him to move on, insisting that season 16 would be his last.

Since joining "Shark Tank," Cuban reportedly invested $29 million in at least 85 companies, per Forbes. He reportedly invested in at least 400 startups through the show -- some found success, while others blew up.

The billionaire first appeared as a guest during the second season and has become a regular since its third season in 2012.

"I feel like in doing 'Shark Tank' all these years, we've trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs that if somebody can come from Iowa or Sacramento or wherever, and show up on the carpet of Shark Tank and show their business and get a deal, it's going to inspire generations of kids," he talked about his long-time show.

Cuban previously talked about leaving "Shark Tank" in 2022 to put his family first. According to him, he wanted to spend more time with his daughters and his family, among his other obligations.

"It's not because I don't love the show. I absolutely love the show," he stated before noting his other priorities.

"My daughter's in college now... When they were all in high school, all their schedules aligned so it was really easy to do the show," he explained. "But now, you know, family first, always. And so I wanted to try to make sure I spent as much time with my daughter as I can, and my family as I can."

"Shark Tank" is an American business reality television series showing entrepreneurs making business presentations to start-up investors called "sharks" on the program.

It premiered on ABC in August 2009.
