Kate Middleton is allegedly not interested in forming a close bond with her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, according to a new book.

Royal correspondent and biographer Omid Scobie weighed in on the relationship between the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex in his newly released book, "Endgame." He claimed that the two duchesses had little in common and their husbands' rifts didn't help their relationship in the early days. He also mentioned the expectations that the future queen consort would be of help to the former "Suits" star when she joined the firm, which wasn't the case at all since Middleton allegedly "was uninterested" in Markle.

"Still, for Meghan, who found much of her time as a working royal a lonely and isolated experience, there was a hope that Kate would be someone she could at least turn to for an encouraging word during her lowest points," Scobie wrote, People reported.

"They were once both outsiders, middle-class women brought into the house of Windsor for unimaginably different lives. Kate, however, was uninterested in forming this kind of bond with Meghan."

Scobie also claimed the royal mother of three "can be cold" if she doesn't like someone and she "wasn't a fan" of Markle. However, the working royal allegedly talked so much about Markle and even "jokingly shivered" at the mention of the "Horrible Bosses" star's name.

"She spent more time talking about Meghan than talking to her," Scobie wrote, quoting an unnamed source.

Scobie, who was accused by many as the Sussexes' mouthpiece, also characterized Prince William's wife as a "part-time working royal" who prioritizes her personal style and inoffensive causes to "glide under the radar." He also alleged that Middleton was too terrified to do other things than grinning at photo-ops.

Many noticed that Scobie took a swipe at the members of the royal family but not Prince Harry and Markle in his new book, prompting some to slam the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their alleged involvement in the book.

"#AmidScabies is a known pathological liar who's not taken seriously. #Endgame was for sure commissioned by Meghan Markle & Prince Harry because they've nothing left to lose IMO," one user alleged on X.

Scobie denied the speculations that the Sussexes were involved in his book. He also stressed that he was not a friend of Markle, and he never interviewed her for "Endgame."

"Endgame" hits the shelves Tuesday.
