The alleged "racist" royals were named in a new book, and experts believe it wasn't an error in translation.

Royal biographer Omid Scobie's "Endgame" was released Tuesday, but the Dutch version in Holland had been pulled from shelves after copies reportedly named King Charles and Kate Middleton as the alleged "racist" royals, which the author claimed was a translation error. However, experts were not convinced it was the case.

"It's very hard to believe that this error occurred due to a problem with the translation, and I've not seen the Dutch publisher claim this is what happened. How can you mistranslate two names? It just doesn't make sense," veteran royal reporter and author Phil Dampier told MailOnline.

Dutch royal journalist Rick Evers, who was the first to spot the names, shared the same sentiment. In an interview with GB News, he pointed out that it was not down to mistranslation as they noticed some paragraphs were missing in the English version.

"The official thing was that it was because there were some discussions about some of the paragraphs, they wouldn't exactly mention which paragraphs, of course, which is something different than just a translation error," Evers explained.

"If you compare the English and the Dutch version, you just see very clearly that there is just missing two paragraphs. One of the paragraphs has been changed with one sentence to say that the writer is not allowed to say the specific names. So this cannot be a translation error."

Evers also said on his YouTube Channel RoyalTV that the Dutch version "contains subjects or things that are not in the English version." He compared the two versions and pointed out that not only words were missing, but "complete paragraphs."

"On page 128, it says in those private letters an identity was confirmed -- 'Charles,'" he said before showing the book to the camera and pointing to the part of the book where the name of the King was mentioned. "Well, I'm going to show it to you, it is just here. So, that's as clear as anything. I cannot imagine that, that's a matter of translation."

​​Scobie claimed in his book that two royals were involved in the conversation about Archie's skin color. However, he didn't mention the names, citing the laws of the United Kingdom that "prevent [him] from reporting who they were."

After the names of the alleged racist royals were leaked, Scobie was quick to clarify that it was down to translation errors.

"The book is in several languages, and unfortunately, I do not speak Dutch," Scobie told Dutch outlet RTL Boulevard Tuesday. "But if there are translation errors, I'm sure the publishers will have it under control."

"I wrote and edited the English version. There's never been a version that I've produced that has names in it," he added.
