McDonald's is set to bring back a wave of nostalgia with its latest limited-edition adult Happy Meal.

Following the success of last year's adult Happy Meals, the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box, McDonald's has partnered with creative director and DJ Kerwin Frost for the Kerwin Frost Box, according to a press release.

Available at participating McDonald's locations in the U.S. and other select markets starting Dec. 11 while supplies last, the box includes a special McNugget Buddy toy alongside one's choice of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac, fries and a soft drink.

The new toys were inspired by Frost's childhood and described as a modern twist on the iconic McNugget Buddies toys that were beloved by 80s and 90s kids.

Customers can choose between six "reimagined McNugget Buddies," which have mix-and-match outfits and live in Frost Way, where self-expression is celebrated.

The McNugget Buddy collectibles include:

  • Kerwin Frost - The Mayor of Frost Way, a champion of the Buddies.
  • Don Bernice - The Wise Stylist, an experienced fashion designer.
  • Uptown Moe - The Neighborhood Hero, a no-nonsense and supportive figure.
  • Waffutu - The Curious Optimist, spreading positivity and joy.
  • BRRRICK - The Cool Guy, adventurous and always cool under pressure.
  • Darla - The Dreamer, a confident singer pursuing her dream.

Frost expressed his excitement over the collaboration, stating in the press release, "I've loved McDonald's since I was a kid. I even had my own Ronald McDonald doll that I brought to picture day at school, and it was my dream to collect all the McNugget Buddies. Now, coming up with my own special set of Buddies - each one representing different aspects of self-expression -- it's unreal, a dream come true."

He went on to share that McDonald's "truly allowed me to create without limits."

"I hope the Kerwin Frost Box will serve as a reminder for people to hone their creativity and not be afraid to show the world who they really are," he added.

To celebrate the launch of the new meal, the creative director will sell custom McDonald's x Kerwin Frost merchandise, including a variety of items featuring the McNugget Buddy collection, on his website starting Dec. 11. Part of the proceeds will go to the Harlem Arts Alliance.

Last year, McDonald's released the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box in collaboration with the fashion and product line Cactus Plant Flea Market.

The Happy Meals came with one of four collectible figurines, including beloved McDonald's characters Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie, and Cactus Buddy, the apparel brand's mascot.

The boxes quickly sold out, with resellers listing them for up to $300,000 on eBay, Today reported.

Many customers showed off their adult Happy Meals on X, formerly Twitter, last year, with one writing: "Got an adult happy meal today at McDonald's. I'm loving life."

For those who missed last year's adult Happy Meal, make sure to grab a Kerwin Frost Box at participating locations before supplies run out.
