Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's chance of reconciliation with the royal family is slim after the release of the controversial book, "Endgame."

Last week, royal correspondent and biographer Omid Scobie dropped his latest publication about the royal family. It contains bombshell allegations against the members of the firm, with the Dutch version naming King Charles and Kate Middleton as the alleged racist royals.

Duncan Larcombe, an award-winning journalist and commentator who served as royal editor for The Sun for 10 years, weighed in on the issue. According to him, even the palace suspects that the Duchess of Sussex is somehow involved in the book.

"It doesn't matter what Meghan says as, frankly, I don't think everyone will believe her. In my opinion, people will always conclude that she's played some kind of indirect role in some of the information that Scobie has revealed," Larcombe told OK! "There will also be suspicions in the Palace that this has Meghan's fingerprints over it. There are some astonishing claims in it."

As for the Sussexes' relationship with the royal family, Larcombe doubts that there will be a reconciliation anytime soon, noting that the timing of the release of the book couldn't be worse for the royal couple based in California. For him, Prince Harry and Markle blew up their chance after they called King Charles on his 75th birthday last month, and they seemingly made progress in their relationship amid their family feud.

"It has put them right back to square one," he continued. "There's now pressure being put on Harry to come out and distance himself from the book, and I think that will be very tempting for him to do because it seems he has been trying to soften his tone towards the royals."

The "Prince Harry: The Inside Story" author was also convinced that the incident is frustrating for King Charles and Prince William, who aren't sure whether they hold the Duke of Sussex "personally responsible" after Scobie's book brought back the racist royal scandal.

Meanwhile, Conservative MP Bob Seely is working on passing a bill that could deny Prince Harry and Markle their royal titles. Seely's bill would force the Commons to consider the removal of the Sussexes' dukedom titles after their alleged "mouthpiece" brought back the racism issue against the royals.

According to the politician, the use of race to smear the monarchy is a "poisonously insidious" move. He also doesn't think many would believe that Prince Harry and Markle are not involved in it.

"Of all the damaging insults to throw, 'racism' is the most poisonously insidious, guaranteed to leave a whiff of stigma and impossible to prove when false. It is the catch-all slur of the modern era," the MP added.
