Speculations that American rapper couple Cardi B and Offset, who got married in September 2017, have called it quits emerged after they unfollowed each other on Instagram and posted cryptic Instagram Stories about relationships.

On Monday, fans noticed that Cardi B and Offset were no longer following each other on their respective Instagram accounts.

Additionally, the "Bodak Yellow" Billboard chart-topper shared cryptic messages on her Instagram Stories, saying, "You know when you just outgrow relationships" and "I'm tired of protecting people's feelings... I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST."

Meanwhile, her husband Offset reportedly shared via an Instagram Story a snippet of Al Pacino's "Scarface" character shouting, "Hey, f- you, man! Who put this thing together? Me! Who do I trust? Me!"

Following her cryptic posts and her move to unfollow her husband on Instagram, the 31-year-old female rapper went live on Instagram Tuesday.

During the livestream, Cardi B remarked that she was dropping "dead weight" before greeting 2024. She was also welcoming a new version of herself in the coming new year, according to Page Six.

"We keep saying every year, 'New year, new me, new this, new that.' B--, I'm taking that s- to the f-ing heart!" she reportedly told her followers.

"You gotta get rid of dead weight, and when it comes to dead weight, I'll say mentality, procrastination, laziness and people," the rapper added. "Next year is [going to be] all about me."

Meanwhile, some were skeptical about the celebrity couple's rumored breakup, thinking it might just be a publicity stunt for a new project or music release.

"Offset or Cardi's about to drop a new joint, they can't fool me," tweeted one X user, while another claimed, "They [are going to be] back together on Friday, December 8th. This is a PR stunt."

A third user commented, "So predictable. Let's see how long they keep this up. Free promo, I guess."

However, one user came to the couple's defense and stated, "Well, nobody told you all to go looking to see if they're following each other, so there's that."
