Taylor Swift joined Kim Kardashian in the billionaire ranks this year following the success of her "Eras Tour," but who is richer between the two?

Let's delve into the net worths of these powerhouse women.

As of October, Forbes and Bloomberg estimate Swift's net worth to be an impressive $1.1 billion.

Swift's wealth is primarily attributed to her remarkable success in the music industry, setting her apart from other billionaires who may diversify their income through various ventures.

According to Forbes, more than $500 million of the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker's net worth comes from music royalties and touring.

The "Eras Tour" played a pivotal role in boosting Swift's fortune, with the first leg of the tour alone contributing an estimated $190 million after taxes.

The first two weeks of screenings of the concert film, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour," added another $35 million.

Furthermore, half a billion of Swift's fortune comes from the increasing value of her music catalog.

In a strategic move, she gained control over her masters by switching to Universal Music Group's Republic Records, a decision that proved financially advantageous in the long run.

Swift has since released new albums and re-recorded four of the albums whose masters were sold by Scooter Braun to Shamrock Capital for $300 million in 2020. She is set to drop two more re-releases.

Despite Swift's massive earnings, Kardashian remains the richer of the two, with Forbes estimating her net worth to be $1.7 billion.

Kardashian's journey to a billion-dollar fortune took a different route, leveraging her reality TV stardom and successful business ventures.

Skims, her shapewear business, played a significant role in this financial ascent. After a 2023 funding round, the brand reached a staggering valuation of $4 billion.

Kardashian's stake in Skims, estimated to be at least one-third, has substantially contributed to her net worth.

The 2020 sale of 20% of KKW Beauty, her cosmetics and fragrance company, to Coty for $200 million also boosted her fortune.

In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Kardashian earned substantial income from her family's reality series, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." The show, which ran for 20 seasons, reportedly earned the family millions, with Kardashian receiving a significant share, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The family's move to Hulu with "The Kardashians" in 2022 secured them a lucrative deal worth nine figures, Variety reported.

Swift and Kardashian's feud returned to the headlines this week after the release of the pop superstar's interview with Time magazine, which named her its Person of the Year.

For those not in the know, the feud started in 2009, when Swift was interrupted on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards by Kanye West, who proclaimed that Beyoncé deserved the award for Best Female Video instead.

The bad blood continued, with Swift releasing "Innocent," which fans believed contained lyrics calling out West, and the rapper dropping "Famous," in which he sang, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b---h famous."

West later claimed that he had Swift's blessing, which the singer's camp quickly denied.

In 2016, Kardashian leaked a secret recording of Swift's phone conversation with West, seemingly agreeing to the use of her name in his song.

The following year, Swift dropped "Reputation," whose single "Look What You Made Me Do" seemingly addressed the feud.

Then, in 2020, an alleged full phone call between Swift and West was leaked, appearing to prove that the singer was telling the truth all along.

In her Time interview, Swift reflected on the feud, highlighting how it affected her psychologically.

"You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar," she said. "That took me down psychologically to a place I've never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn't leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn't trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard."

Unnamed sources told TMZ that no public apology has been offered by Kardashian for the infamous phone call controversy.

The insiders claimed that Swift is open to reconciliation but insists any apology must be made publicly.
