Prince William is apparently "not the best" drinker, and this has earned him a hilarious nickname from Mike Tindall.

During a podcast appearance alongside his wife Zara Tindall, Prince William's cousin, the former rugby star confessed to calling the Prince of Wales "One Pint Willy" as a joke about his beer drinking.

Tindall, 45, didn't shy away from poking fun at the heir to the British throne.

"The Prince of Wales is known to me as One Pint Willy because he's not the best of drinkers," Tindall said in an episode of fellow sportsman Rob Burrow's BBC podcast "Seven."

He added that he came from a sport "built on the social aspect with a couple of beers being sunk quite often."

"That is one I will give away for the Prince of Wales," he continued.

After letting the cat out of the bag, Tindall exclaimed, "Oh my god. It's out there now. Sorry sir."

Zara couldn't help but laugh at her husband's antics.

"Oh my god. You are in so much trouble," she giggled.

Earlier this year, Prince William poked fun at himself and his beer-drinking habits.

While giving a speech at the Irish Guards' annual celebration at Aldershot on St. Patrick's Day, he joked that he would "likely fail once again to finish a pint of Guinness," People reported.

Tindall and his wife shared more insights about their life and marriage during the podcast episode, including their endearing pet names for each other.

After revealing that they affectionately call each other "munchkin," Zara shared that she has another playful two-word nickname for Tindall stored on her phone that ends in "kitten."

The couple tied the knot in 2011 after an eight-year courtship and welcomed three children: Mia, 9; Lena, 5; and Lucas, 2.

Meanwhile, Tindall previously shared during an appearance on the reality show "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" an amusing but embarrassing encounter with Princess Anne, Zara's mother.

Recalling a dancefloor mishap at Zara's 70s-themed 30th birthday party, Tindall said he suffered an accidental wardrobe malfunction while busting out some moves.

"I was dancing on the dance floor, I had like flares on, full outfit but it was quite tight, nothing ever fits -- rugby player's bum and legs -- so I was dancing with my mother-in-law, and I did a slut drop in front of my mother-in-law," Tindall shared.

According to Tindall, he "ripped my trousers, straight in front of her" after doing the move.

But even worse, the former athlete said, "It happened to be that the boxers that I had on at that time said, 'Nibble my nuts.'"
