An OnlyFans model and porn star has been arrested in Poland on charges of allegedly spying for Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's KGB secret service.

Daria Ostapenko, who had been living in Poland, allegedly posed as a pro-democracy opposition activist while secretly collaborating with Lukashenko's regime for up to seven years, the Daily Mail reported.

The 36-year-old Belarusian national was part of the "Tell The Truth" opposition movement against her home country's government from 2018 to 2019, opposition news outlet Zerkalo reported.

She had been an active member of the Belarusian diaspora in Poland, allegedly using her work as a model and adult content creator as a cover.

While allegedly posing as an opposition activist, Ostapenko "talked about the need to act more decisively to overthrow the government in Belarus, namely by force," according to Zerkalo.

Ostapenko allegedly suggested collecting weapons, infiltrating Belarus and orchestrating an explosion on the Belarusian border.

However, her purported true identity as a spy was allegedly uncovered during a night of drinking with friends when she revealed details about her espionage activities.

Ostapenko allegedly had been providing information to Lukashenko's KGB about pro-democracy activists who had fled Belarus and were residing in other countries, including Poland.

The Polish Internal Security Agency acted swiftly upon receiving information about Ostapenko's alleged espionage activities, per Zerkalo.

She was detained on the same day. She remains in custody.

Evidence of her links to Belarusian intelligence officers was reportedly found on her smartphone, unnamed sources told the outlet.

Ostapenko faces charges under Poland's espionage laws, which carry penalties ranging from five to 30 years in prison.

Polish news outlet Onet noted that Ostapenko was "vulnerable to recruitment" due to her chosen profession, stating that Belarusian authorities could leverage her alleged violations of strict prostitution and pornography laws.
