Khloé Kardashian won the award for Reality TV Star of the Year for the sixth time at the 49th annual 2024 People's Choice Awards, but was not in attendance to receive her accolade.

"I do just wanna say why I wasn't there last night. I suffer from really extreme migraines... there was not much else that could have kept me away from being there last night, so thank you guys," she expressed in an online video.

Known for her long history of debilitating migraines, Kardashian became a celebrity spokeswoman for the "all-in-one" migraine pill Nurtec.

"We wanted to show her confidence, her ability to be successful and live her life despite her migraine, and tell that story of empowerment," Biohaven CEO Vlad Coric told Fierce Pharma Marketing in a statement.

The 39-year-old also spoke openly about not feeling "worthy" of winning but can't get over the fact that she has indeed been chosen, saying "This makes no sense to me."
