Eminem was spotted using an outdated phone model in one of his friends' latest social media posts.

On Thursday, DJ Whoo Kid took to Instagram to share a photo with Eminem and Denaun Porter with a funny anecdote about the "Lose Yourself" singer.

"#Eminem was trying to figure out who ate his last mom's spaghetti box in the dressing room. I was like. I told him it was @iamdenaun. And, by the way, yes. He still has a BlackBerry phone," the DJ captioned his post, subtly promoting his friend's spaghetti restaurant in Detroit, Michigan.

Aside from the subtle promotion, DJ Whoo Kid also seemingly made fun of Eminem's phone choice.

Meanwhile, many netizens were amused by the fact that Eminem still uses a BlackBerry amid the popularity of more high-end smartphone models and brands.

"So does he have like two phones? I've seen him use an iPhone, and he has had that BlackBerry for years," commented one netizen.

"How does that s**t still work?" quipped a second user.

"That's actually so cute that he still uses a BlackBerry. Old Man Marshall is both bad*** and strangely enough very cute. Lol," said someone else.

"Does using a BlackBerry keep you from aging or what, Slim?" quipped another netizen.

The "Without Me" artist has a net worth of $250 million, per Celebrity Net Worth. This is why it's amusing that he still uses an outdated phone model.

The multi-platinum-selling rapper-producer is considered one of the richest rappers and one of the highest-paid entertainers in the world.

He reportedly makes up to $20 million in a non-touring year and earns up to $50 million in an active touring year.

Eminem -- real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III -- rose to fame in the late 1990s with his debut album, "The Slim Shady LP." The total earnings he gained from his career as a rapper reportedly approached the $420 million mark as of December 2023.

With his status and massive net worth, it is interesting to know how and why the big-time rapper still uses an old BlackBerry, especially now that the non-Android devices from the brand are officially defunct.

Per Screen Rant, CEO John Chen of BlackBerry Limited confirmed in January 2022 that BlackBerry's proprietary operating systems and services were decommissioned.

With this, the phones would no longer work as they originally did.
