When it comes to reconciling with an ex, Camila Cabello is open to the idea, but under the right circumstances.

During her recent appearance on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, the 27-year-old openly discussed her inclination towards reaching out to ex-boyfriends due to her "impulsive" nature. She also shared insights into briefly rekindling a connection with Shawn Mendes in the spring of 2023, two years after their initial breakup in 2021.

"I'm kind of impulsive in that way, I would say," the former Fifth Harmony member said. "If I feel it, I say it and I'm not really good at not doing that. Because the worst place for it to live is my mind, and then I'm like Ryan Gosling in 'The Notebook' building a house for this person. I would rather say it and see what happens, and then wake up the next day and find out that it's been heavily documented."

Cabello and Mendes, 25, who dated from 2019 to 2021, sparked curiosity by displaying PDA at Coachella last April, over two years after their breakup. They separated again a few months later.

Cabello expressed no regrets about her past choices, but despite her initial reunion with the "Stitches" singer, she is reportedly now certain her and her ex will not reconcile.

Despite their initial reunion, Cabello is now certain that she and her ex won't be reconciling — again.

"It wasn't even a decision, I think you are just kind of like, 'Yeah this doesn't really — it's not a fit,' " she confessed. "It doesn't feel right. I think luckily, I was in a place in my life where it took me less time to realize that — and it took us both less time to be like, 'This doesn't feel right and we don't really need to try so hard to make it work. It's all good. This is not feeling good, like 'Let's be friends, I love you. It's all good, let's move on.' "
