Sunny Hostin provided insight into the reason behind her wrist cast while co-hosting 'The View,' attributing its necessity to an injury she recently sustained.

"I've been a little embarrassed to share this story, but I will tell you what happened. I was taking a virtual — by Zoom — indoor skating class in my home on hardwood floors, along with a group of friends in other places. I got my skates from the attic, and put them on. I was not wearing padding, as was suggested by my husband, and I fell. So, as the adage goes, you play silly games, and you will win silly prizes, and this is my silly prize," Hostin shared via Instagram.

Additionally, Hostin, 55, mentioned that Stormy Daniels and Gisele Bündchen autographed her cast, turning it into a piece of history. However, this piece of history will remain with her for another four weeks.

Earlier this month, the show's legal expert introduced the brace, which appeared not to affect her on-air performance. Hostin disclosed another injury she experienced in October, resulting from her attempt to perform a split at home.

Hostin mentioned feeling physically fit and capable, expressing confidence in her knee strength and ability to perform splits. She recounted a recent incident where, after consuming two glasses of wine, she attempted a split at her children's challenge, resulting in a torn hamstring.

"I'm feeling good. I still feel like I'm in pretty good shape, I feel like I've got good knees, I can still do splits. I have proof of it, I did a split just last week," she continued. "However, then, my children challenged me last week, and I said, 'Of course I can do a split!' I now have a torn hamstring."
