Turner said on 'Good Morning America' Friday how he and Theresa "have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations and we've looked closely at our situation, our living situation and so forth and we've kind of come to the conclusion, mutually, that it's probably time for us to dissolve our marriage."

Earlier this year, the couple exchanged nuptials during a live televised ceremony after meeting on the debut season of 'The Golden Bachelor' last fall. The series is a spinoff of the long-running ABC dating reality show 'The Bachelor.' They wed with their children and grandchildren in attendance on January 4.

Turner, 72, and Nist did not reveal exactly what led up to their separation but suggested they had trouble deciding where to reside. Nist, according to NBC, is a financial services professional from New Jersey. Her soon-to-be ex-husband is a retired Indiana restaurateur.

"We looked at homes in South Carolina, we considered New Jersey, and we just looked at homes after home, but we never got to the point where we made that decision," Nist said.

Nist, 70, said: "I don't think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope." She continued: "We want none of that to change for anybody."

"I still love this person," Turner said. "There's no doubt in my mind, I still am in love with her. I root for her every day."
