Kevin Hart was honored with The John F. Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on March 24.

To celebrate this significant achievement, many of his colleagues and friends came together to pay tribute by roasting him.

During the ceremony, Chelsea Handler joked that the 'Ride Along' actor resembles what a baby between her and 50 Cent would look like. Regina Hall humorously commended his knack for getting paid regardless of the project's quality. However, it was Chris Rock's roast of Hart that truly stirred the crowd.

During the Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which premiered on the streaming platform in May, where Rock described Hart as a man with "extraordinary talents." Addressing Hart, who was grinning widely while seated next to his wife Eniko and their 3-year-old daughter Kaori, Rock, 59, commented that Hart displayed "that second wife happiness."

The crowd bursts into laughter, including Hart, who could barely contain himself in his seat.

"There's nothing like that second wife happiness," Rock added. "They're like, 'We didn't struggle at all!' "

Although the Philadelphia native seemed to take the joke in stride, many observers noticed that his older children, daughter Heaven, 19, and son Hendrix, 16, seated to his right, did not share the same enthusiasm for Rock's comment.

"His older kids didn't appreciate that dig at their mom. That wasn't cool and for Kevin to laugh like that in front of them was wild," a fan wrote on Instagram.

"That was corny and his daughter face she wasn't feeling it," another commented.

Another Instagramer suggested that a call to Will Smith might be necessary, stating, "So I guess Chris ain't learned to stop talking about people's wives. Where is @willsmith when we need him?"
