Demi Moore introduced an icon at the amFAR Cinema Against Aids Cannes Gala with a little shade sprinkled on top.

The actress, starring in the highly-anticipated Cannes film 'The Substance,' was introducing Cher when she darted her fiery attention to an audience member who seemed to be preoccupied.

"I'm gonna see if this is the moment we've all been waiting for," she began. "I'm just making sure that you're really, really with me, because this incredible woman that I'm about to introduce, she's a Grammy winner, an Oscar winner, an Emmy winner."

"Are you an Emmy winner — over there in the back of the room?" Moore, 61, questioned the audience member. I "don't think so," she said, with an expletive.

However, according to 'Entertainment Weekly,' she ended up having to pause her tribute for a second time, before describing the "If I Could Turn Back Time" star as one of the most talented, successful, and most-loved performers of all time.

"So please..." Moore said with a pointed stare, "Give a warm welcome to the incredible, one and only Cher!"
