After author E.L. James revealed who will play the lead characters in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, she released a statement addressing all the haters who may not agree with her casting decisions.

It was revealed Monday that Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hannam will play Christian Grey while 21 Jump Street star Dakota Johnson will play Anastasia Steele. Mixed reviews came in following both announcements, but James is sticking by her casting decision. She tweeted on Monday the support she has received that is keeping her going.

"To all the supporters, lovers and haters - thank you so much for the passion that you have for this project. You all rock. All of you."

The reveal was made following months of speculation and a number of stars being attached to the roles of college student Steele and the older man she falls in love with, Grey, who happens to also have a thing for S&M. He is described in the book as someone who is tall, with dark copper-colored hair and "smoldering" gray eyes.

The film's expected release date is Aug. 1, 2014, Hunnam tweeted.

The British actor is dating Morgana McNelis, who lists herself as a jewelry designer, according to the bio on her website. He plays the lead role in FX's Sons of Anarchy: Jackson "Jax" Teller, part of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in California's Central Valley. The show's sixth season premieres Sept. 10.

Johnson completed filming the 2013 film Theo and is currently in production on a 2014 movie titled Cymbeline, according to IMDb.
