Singer LeAnn Rimes sparked controversy when she sent out a tweet on Sept. 21 hinting that reality star Brandi Glanville needs to check into a rehab center.

Photographer Sarah Hertel tweeted a quote about Brandi Glanville from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 4 preview video. One of the show's newest cast members, Joyce Giraud, said to the former model, "I thought you needed rehab. Now I realize its just you."

Rimes re-tweeted it the quote, writing, "@HertelSara: 'I thought you needed rehab. Now I realize its just you.' Lol #rhwbh ... sorry, can't deny the truth."

Later that same day she wrote, "You say the truth you're horrible, you deny the truth, you're liar.....lose, lose...no one cares about the truth."

Glanville took to Twitter the following day to say she is trying her best not go get riled up over the comment Rimes made. She tweeted on Sept. 22, "I refuse to engage in this obvious attempt to get under my skin, even tho I really want to!"

In February 2013, Glanville similarly said Rimes "needs to get help" and visit a rehab center for acting unstable.

The two women have been at odds ever since Rimes had an extra-marital affair with Glanville's ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian. Glanville and Cibrian eventually divorced, after having two sons together, and he went on to marry Rimes.

In a May interview with In Touch, Glanville slammed Rimes' songwriting skills and hinted that the singer is keeping their feud alive to "boost a career."  The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said in May Rimes "should mind her own business," in regards to an incident involving the children Glanville has with Cibrian.

Rimes and Cibrian began dating in 2009 after meeting on the set of their Lifetime television movie Northern Light. Both were married to other people at the time: Cibrian and Glanville already had two sons together and Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet.
