Justin Bieber is said to be in talks with the producers of The Voice in Australia about making an appearance on the Australian version of the show in the coming weeks.

The hit TV show does not currently include celebrity appearances, however, rumors have it that the format is about to change as producers look to spice up the series. Especially as contestant numbers dwindle as they are voted off each week, producers are seeing the commercial opportunity in allowing guest star performances on the show, which will hopefully also give a ratings boost.

Network reps have already confirmed that producers are in talks for guest artists, but will not confirm whether Bieber is one of the stars being lined up.

A Nine Network spokesman has said, "The format has opportunities for guest artist performance in a show down the track. Producers are in discussions with a number of people about who that might be."

It is believed that Bieber is currently working on a new album and that he will visit Australia some time in the next two months.

Local media sources are reporting that The Voice's ratings have declined since its opening and that celebrities, and especially Bieber featuring on the show could be just what it needs to revive its fan base.
