Simon Cowell celebrated his birthday with his ex, Terri Seymour, instead of pregnant girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, on Oct. 7.

Cowell celebrated his 54th birthday with a bunch of friends, which included Seymour and Randy Jackson (American Idol), at Sur -- a restaurant owned by Real Housewives star Lisa Vanderpump -- in West Hollywood. After dinner, Cowell saw Jackson off and invited Seymour, who was dressed in a black mini dress, to sit on his lap in his car. Another friend, a blond haired women, sat on the other side of the seat.

Seymour, who is correspondent on Extra, and Cowell parted ways in 2008 but have been good friends ever since. The two were seen laughing and having some flirtatious fun with each other on the night of his birthday.

It was recently reported that Cowell intended to marry Silverman. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Cowell said that he "wouldn't expect Lauren to be a single mother."  He went on to corroborate his point by saying that he would never expect to bring up a baby without a proper father. Seacrest asked Cowell if that was something he would do "before the birth" of his son, to which Cowell's response was in the affirmative.

The press has also picked up on hints -- as meaning that he will be getting married to Silverman very soon -- from the X Factor creator's recent tweets, where he suggested that he had some "exciting news."

"Excited to reveal some news in the next few weeks. Am feeling very positive right now. It's been hard work but nothing should be too easy," Cowell wrote.
