A new clip has surfaced online featuring Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston discussing the relationship between their characters in the highly-anticipated new movie, in theaters next month.

Thor: The Dark World sees Hemsworth's Thor character facing an enemy unlike any other in Malekith (Christopher Eccleston). The threat Malekith poses on the Realms is so great that Thor needs to recruit help from an unlikely source-his own brother, Loki (Hiddleston), who has been imprisoned since his great attack on New York in The Avengers, roughly one year prior.

Not only does the new film deal with the attempts to thwart Malekith, it very much deals with the relationship between the two brothers as well.

"The conflict between brother and brother is one of the main engines of the Thor movies, so you know they can't stand each other," director Alan Taylor said in the clip. "But they love each other and they need each other. It's just typical brothers...but heightened."

"In the wake of Avengers Loki is lost," Hiddleston said. "He's struggling to find a place within the family, struggling to find himself a place within the universe. It's that part of him which Thor appeals to."

Hemsworth acknowledges and appreciates the history and drama between the characters.

"He's the villain but we kind of love him, and I think anytime we can do that it makes it so much more interesting," he said.

The actors also hinted that the brothers not only have to learn to trust each other, but they need to be true to themselves as well.

"He's someone who knows his true nature, and he's having a really good time," Hiddleston said of Loki.

That could mean that the biggest question as to whether or not Thor really can trust Loki may be answered in the film.

"Loki's kind of walking the line where we don't quite know which side he's going to fall to," Hemsworth said.

The clip shows ways how Loki could stray towards the good by previewing him fighting Malekith, and also how he can still betray his brother. Previously unseen footage shows him also fighting Thor, temporarily separating him from his mighty hammer, as well as him seemingly offering Jane to Malekith.

Thor: The Dark World arrives in theaters Nov. 8.
